Products that fall under the “finish” category are good with this use case with a drying oil base. This includes Raw Linseed Oil, Tung Oil, Shellac, Danish Oil, Hardwax Oil, Teak Oil and Tung Oil Finish. Mineral Oil, and waxes are not advisable as a finish.

Application - Outdoor Furniture & Other exterior use

Double Boiled Linseed Oil and Teak Oil are the best products for outdoor use since they dry to a thicker resin barrier. The next best would be Danish Oil and Tung Oil Finish. Base oils don’t work too well for this
