Double Boiled Linseed Oil and Teak Oil are the best products for outdoor use since they dry to a thicker resin barrier. The next best would be Danish Oil and Tung Oil Finish. Base oils don’t work too well for this

“Conditioner” products work well for this. This primarily includes Mineral Oil, Wax Oils and Waxes.
